Stories of Strength Project Meeting in Foligno, Italy

At the beginning of September, the Stories of Strength partnership came together in Foligno, Italy, for a Transnational Project Meeting hosted by our partners at EGInA.

The meeting marked an important milestone for the project, offering partners the opportunity to reflect on progress, align on next steps, and strengthen the shared vision at the heart of Stories of Strength: empowering migrant women through creative writing, self-expression, and storytelling.

Moving the Project Forward

Over the course of the meeting, partners worked closely to:

• Review progress across all Work Packages and key project milestones

• Launch the preparation phase for the upcoming Training of Trainers, scheduled for October

• Finalise the remaining steps for the development of the educational training modules, designed to support migrant women in building confidence, expressing their identities, and strengthening their narrative voice

These discussions ensured that the project remains both methodologically strong and deeply aligned with the lived experiences of the women it aims to support.

More Than Planning: Shared Purpose

Beyond coordination and planning, the meeting in Foligno was also a moment of connection. It reaffirmed the shared values that bring the partnership together: inclusion, creativity, care, and the belief that storytelling can be a powerful tool for personal growth and social change.

Through open dialogue and collaboration, partners renewed their commitment to creating learning experiences that are safe, empowering, and meaningful — spaces where women’s stories are not only written, but truly heard.

In the coming weeks, an open call for trainers will be launched for the upcoming Training of Trainers activities. The call will invite professionals who are passionate about creative writing, social inclusion, and women’s empowerment to become part of the Stories of Strength journey.
